T20 Round 3 v Balgownie


The quick summary…6 wins in the Senior Grades yesterday. A good day out for the Club.

1st Grade dominated in our T20 game with Balgownie. Tim Laws (78 off 33 balls) & Duncan Maddinson put on a 92 run opening partnership. Then Matt Grealy (58 off 25 balls) & Nathan Loveday got together for a 70 run partnership…taking us to 6/218. Another good team bowling & fielding performance held Bally to 8/124.

2nd Grade put together a total of 6/135 against Bally. Ethan Kohen made 62. Then the bowlers went to work, and dismissed Bally for 50. A shaky debut for Andrew McRae, he was 0/13 off his first three balls…ended up with 4/19.

3rd Grade White were set 7/97 to chase by Wests. All the bowlers doing well. Shazaib Noor then made 72 n.o. on our way to chasing the runs after just 10 overs.

3rd Grade Maroon bowled out Keira Blacks for 71. Apurup Kommineni took 4/12, and Wahaj Sheikh 2/12 took a couple of important early wickets. Then it was our turn to have the batting wobbles, at 8/55 Will Badger & Laxmi Guduru came together to take us home for the win in the last over.

4th Grade Blacks had a day out to remember too. An opening partnership of 151 between Travis Dutton (96) & Michael Bryant (68) took us a long way toward the 5/196 that Nth Dists Blue were set to chase. Some good tight bowling by all, and NDs were dismissed for 92 in the final over.

4th Grade White made 7/136, with Mahammad Rafique (31), Ahsan Nawaz (40) & Nilesh Chauhan (46). Digvijay Shekhawat took 3/19, as we bowled out Keira Black for 91.
