1st Grade batted first against Corrimal and made 8/274. Corey Fogarty (60) & David Studholme (39) put on a 86 run 5th wicket partnership, and Lachlan Maddinson (41) were amongst our best, but there were contributions throughout the batting order. With some rain causing delays, the target score was slightly reduced, but it didn’t matter much, as our bowlers knocked over Corrimal for 124.
Sam Mutch took 5/19 over at Ziems Park in 2nd Grade, and we bowled out Corrimal for 50. Matt Crouch (38 n.o.) made short work of the chase, and we claimed the win in the 9th over at 0/53.
Our 3rd Grade sides are both doing well this season, but only one could come away with the win yesterday. Our Whites were in a strong position with an opening partnership of 148 between Hafiz Muhammad Hasnain (120 n.o.) & Josh Yeaman (55). The Whites finished with 5/216. Wahaj Sheikh took 4/67. The Maroons were a little shaky at 3/43, but a 128 run partnership between Athul Narayanan (87 n.o.) & Kailash Sridhar (51) put the Maroons on their way to the win.
4th Grade Blacks lost to Keira Gold. Kyle Dutton made 41 in our total of 8/183.
Our 4s White claimed our first win of the season over Port Kembla. We bowled them out for 143 with Darren Giustinanni taking 6/26. Then Nilesh Chauhan made 58 on our way to 4/144.
Wollongong under 11s vs Helensburgh - Ari Katselos best ever 48 not out including 10x 4’s. Arnav first 4 in 2 seasons. Nathan Washbourne best score of 37 & 3 for 7. Luis Correa 27 n.o. Levi Crouch best score of 18 n.o.
Wollongong U13Bs v Keira Blacks. We were all out 7/55, and then bowled well to stay in the game…eventually Keira all out 67, with Taye Rawiri 4/13.
Our 17Bs went down to Northern Districts. NDs set us 101 to chase, but we were all out 80.
And our Gems & Junior Gems had wins during the week too.
